FreeCurrently, what inspires and motivates our team at Ethereal Events Co. is the unique beauty of South Africa and the idea of creating wedding experiences that are more than just a celebration, but an entire journey for our couples and their guests. We’re driven by the potential of South Africa as a premier destination wedding location—whether it's the vast savannahs of the Kruger teeming with wildlife or the lush vineyards and coastal scenery of Cape Town. The latest trend we’re embracing is transforming weddings into full weekend experiences, where couples can fully immerse themselves in the culture, landscapes, and luxury South Africa has to offer. It’s all about curating not just a day, but a series of unforgettable moments that reflect the couple’s unique love story, and our team thrives on making this dream a reality. From intimate, stylish safari weddings to grand, elegant vineyard celebrations, the endless variety of styles and settings inspires us to push boundaries, create fresh concepts, and design experiences that leave lasting impressions on both our clients and their guests.
Copy and paste weddings are something we want to avoid. While Pinterest is an excellent tool for inspiration, we strive to create unique and personal experiences for each couple. We encourage our clients to share colour schemes or ideas, but we prefer not to rely too heavily on preconceived designs. Our goal is to craft a wedding that reflects the couple’s individuality, not just replicate popular trends. We aim to minimise repetitive concepts and instead focus on fresh, bespoke designs that are memorable and tailored to our clients’ personalities.
One of my top tips for wedding planning is to focus your décor budget on impactful, statement pieces rather than spreading it across multiple smaller items. Investing in a stunning arch or an impressive roof installation will leave a lasting impression, far more than a collection of small décor elements that don’t create the same visual impact. I'm also not a fan of boutonnieres. They often feel unnecessary, and most men don't enjoy wearing them. However, if you're fortunate enough to have grandparents at your wedding, I strongly recommend getting them corsages or pins. It’s a small gesture, but it means so much to them and can be incredibly meaningful on the day.
